A handwritten note from Meghan Markle to her flight attendants has attracted attention on social media, offering a glimpse of the Duchess of Sussex’s personal side.
The message came after an American Airlines flight where Meghan was spotted by one of the attendants, Nina Vida. Vida shared in a TikTok video that she and her colleagues had left a note for Markle, expressing the “pleasure of serving” her during the flight.
What surprised the attendants was Meghan’s reply, penned on a napkin in elegant cursive. Holding up the note to the camera, Vida showed what Markle wrote: “Dear AA girlies, thank you for the love, hospitality and handwritten note—you know me well. All love right back to you. As ever, Meghan.”
Vida was impressed by Markle’s handwriting, describing it as “giving rich, it’s giving expensive, it’s giving princess.” She also praised the duchess’s kindness and beauty in person, adding that Meghan complimented her manicure during the flight.
This commercial flight appearance comes amid ongoing criticism of Meghan and her husband Prince Harry ’s private jet use. The couple, known for their environmental advocacy, have faced backlash before for using private jets, including a reported $30,000 flight in February, reports the Daily Beast.
Despite the criticism, Meghan and Harry have occasionally flown commercially.
Handwritten notes have become something that Markle frequently does. Earlier this year, she sent a similarly personal letter to podcaster Amanda Hirsch, who had expressed concern over potential backlash against Meghan’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. The duchess wrote: “Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared. Don’t be! This is the fun part—let’s enjoy it.”
Hirsch shared the note on Instagram, calling herself “absolutely flabbergasted and obsessed” and declaring: “@meghan, you have a fan for life.”
