Imphal: The Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) on Monday declared the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2025, recording an overall pass percentage of 91.37%.

This year's results mark a milestone as the board adopted the grading system for the first time in its evaluation process.

According to BOSEM, a total of 37,052 students from 949 govt, aided, and private schools registered for the examinations, which were conducted from Feb 19 to March 7 across 155 centres in the state.

Of these, 36,943 students, including 18,556 girls, appeared for the exams. A total of 33,755 students cleared the examination, comprising 16,930 girls.

This year, boys slightly outshined girls in terms of gender-wise performance, with the pass percentage for boys standing at 91.51%, while girls achieved a success rate of 91.24%.

As usual, private schools registered a higher success rate with a pass percentage of 94.15%, followed by aided schools at 91.38%. Govt schools, however, trailed with a pass percentage of 82.32%.

One of the standout achievements this year came from Chandel district, which registered a 100% pass rate — the highest among all 16 districts in the state.

Meanwhile, results of nine students from nine schools have been withheld and the school authorities have been informed to enquire at the BOSEM office for these reasons.
