A plane has crashed at Southend Airport in Essex. Witnesses described seeing a "huge fireball" and black smoke from the incident at the airport at around 4pm on Sunday (July 13). It's not clear how many people were on board the plane.
According to reports, the aircraft crashed while taking-off and it is believed the small jet was travelling to the Netherlands.
Essex Police has urged members of the public to keep away from the site and said the emergency services would be working overnight at the scene.
Southend Airport was closed until further notice. Passengers who had been expecting to travel were advised to contact their airlines.
