Harry Kane's wife, Kate, could prevent any Premier League comeback for the Bayern Munich striker as she remains delighted with their German lifestyle. Kane opted to depart boyhood club Tottenham in 2023 and, despite English interest, selected a move to the Bundesliga powerhouses in a transfer worth £100million.
He's spent the previous two-plus years justifying that price tag with remarkable performances in front of goal. The striker has netted 105 times across 109 appearances and at last secured his first major trophy. Kane will celebrate his 33rd birthday next summer and reports suggest a release clause valued at merely £56m becomes active simultaneously - alerting Premier League sides.
The England captain remains receptive to a homecoming, but Bild claims his 31-year-old wife will emphasise her preference to stay in Germany.
The pair have four youngsters and Kate is relishing their present circumstances, especially the discretion the Kane household enjoys overseas.
Kane has voiced his individual contentment with the arrangement, confessing: "The way people welcomed us was extraordinary. It touched us deeply as a family, not just me, but all of us. The children go to school and love it. My wife feels very comfortable too. We truly enjoy every second."
Bayern will likewise be reluctant to part with Kane, though he's displayed no inclination to depart.
Elite forwards throughout Europe have demonstrated that advancing years don't guarantee inevitable deterioration, with the club's former ace Robert Lewandowski excelling well beyond his thirties. Kane has been linked with an eventual Tottenham homecoming, though he would equally consider offers from other English clubs.
The striker's desire to return to England is hardly surprising given he sits just 47 goals shy of Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League record.
The England captain recently reaffirmed his dedication to the Bavarian giants, who currently lead the Bundesliga and remain amongst Europe's elite Champions League hopefuls. He's even hinted at the prospect of prolonging his stay.
He said: "I am fully all in with Bayern. If there was a conversation about extending then we will see, but I have still got this season and another season. It is not like I am in my last year, it is not like there is any panic. I am calm, I love the manager at Bayern and as long we are improving and I am improving then I am happy to see what we can achieve."
