Avengers Doomsday leak: The Marvel crossover fans have always wanted

Having stunned the global box office with Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame, it wasn't long before Marvel Studios were calling up the Russo Brothers to helm the next two mammoth MCU crossover events.

Robert Downey Jr's villainous Doctor Doom stars in both Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars, as he takes on Marvel superheroes from across the multiverse.

Conflicting rumours abound that Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool is set to star, after the actor posted an Avengers symbol on social media.

And now, the latest leak from reliable scooper Main Middle Man is that the Merc with a Mouth will be part of Team Red with Spider-Man and Daredevil.

The Marvel Comics fan-made concept has only manifested once in Deadpool: Suicide Kings, but now it sounds like it's about to become a reality on the big screen with Reynolds' Wade Wilson, Tom Holland's Peter Parker and Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock.

Main Middle Man tweeted on X: "There will be a scene hinting at the "Team Red" team-up in Doomsday, but the team-up will only come in Secret Wars. Just to clarify: Team Red in this case refers only to Spiderman, Daredevil, and Deadpool. No one else."

Avengers Doomsday hits cinemas Christmas 2026 and Avengers Secret Wars follows Christmas 2027.
