90 Day Fiance UK enthusiasts might recognise a familiar face in the latest series - one who once stood in the UK election with a bizzare demand.
The fourth instalment of 90 Day Fiance UK has made its explosive return this weekend on Discovery+, introducing seven fresh couples ready to divulge their long distance relationships, complete with "fiery confrontations" and "explosive" family drama.
The new season promises to deliver a rollercoaster of emotions as "Big secrets will change the course of relationships, cultural customs will be broken, and family inquisitions will be held as these couples try and work on their relationships with a number of obstacles to finding true love."
Yet, one participant may already be etched in viewers' memories. Phin Adams, who famously challenged Jacob Rees-Mogg while in a mask of beans and egg, is known for his quirky electoral pitch. Under the moniker "Barmy Brunch", Phin campaigned for a statutory brunch hour.
In a past interview with the Local Democracy Service, he explained his political antics: "I wanted to run against someone who looked to be safe in their seat to create a Portillo moment if possible or at the very least - let's be realistic here - provide a none of the above alternative for those voters who are either disaffected by politics or whatever."
Now gracing screens on 90 Day Fiance UK, Phin, a 33 year old radio presenter hailing from Bath, playfully asks: "But I'm also a member of the Monster Raving Loony party, would you vote for me?
"I decided to run as an MP against Jacob Rees Mogg, the MP for my home constituency just outside Bath, because I wanted to highlight just how bonkers politics is."
He continued: "I got a few votes, more than I expected, and if it made one person smile then I've done my job."
Unveiling his true self, Phin commented: "I think that I am funny, warm hearted. I can be sort of cartoony, lots of physical body language kind of thing, and tenacious, although my friends would say persistent and annoyingly so."

On 90 Day Fiance UK, Phin shares the tale of his long-distance romance with Sandra. The couple first met in a Brazilian orphanage where Sandra grew up.
Phin was there visiting his sister who was volunteering at the time. They communicated through yearly emails but eventually fell out of touch, but a surprise reunion in 2022 brought them back together, though Phin's reluctance to become a stepfather has caused tensions.
On the show, Phin remarked: "I'm in a long term relationship with someone in Brazil and we're trying to work out a way of how we can be together because we're at a stage where it's either make or break."
Having initially met Sandra 17 years prior and subsequently losing contact, fate intervened to reconnect them. They've maintained a long-distance affair for over two years, with him confessing: "Over the years, we lost touch, but that first crush always stayed with me."
Recounting his encounter with Sandra as an "unforgettable moment", he further commented: "There was a spark there at the beginning, but I think in my head I thought, no, it's not going to work."
Catch the start of love's challenges as 90 Day Fiance UK episodes 1-3 premiere on Discovery+ on July 13, with subsequent episodes unfolding weekly.
