A shocking case of domestic murder has come to light from Muzaffarpur district in Bihar, where Mohammad Mumtaz, a Rozgar Sevak, was brutally murdered on 7th July. After days of investigation, the police have cracked the case and arrested his wife, Saba Parveen, for the crime.
Children’s Statement Turned the CaseInitially, the murder case seemed like a mystery. However, during questioning, the children of the deceased gave statements that raised suspicions about their mother’s involvement. Acting on this lead, police officials from Qazi Mohammadpur Police Station interrogated Saba Parveen, which led to a major breakthrough.
Confession During InterrogationDuring the interrogation, Saba Parveen confessed to killing her husband. According to her, Mumtaz was involved in an extramarital affair, which she found intolerable. Driven by anger and betrayal, she decided to eliminate him.
The Crime: Preplanned and BrutalSaba admitted to first hitting her husband with a hammer, rendering him unconscious. She then slit his throat with a sharp weapon, killing him on the spot. After committing the murder, she disposed of the evidence — including the CCTV DVR, mobile phone, and other belongings — in the forest behind their house to mislead investigators.
Key Evidence RecoveredBased on her confession, the police recovered critical items like the CCTV footage recorder and phone, which she had dumped to erase any digital trail. This recovery has strengthened the case against her.
Police StatementAccording to police sources, all the evidence — including the recovered items and her confession — confirm Saba Parveen’s role in the murder. She is currently in police custody, and further legal proceedings are underway.
