Even if you have an Ayushman card, hospitals are refusing to treat you. This is how you can complain

Health is the most important part of every person's life. People prefer to take health insurance to avoid the expenses of unwanted diseases so that they do not have to bear the financial burden on treatment. But not everyone is able to take it.

To help people who are not financially capable of taking health insurance, the government started the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the year 2018, under which free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is provided.

However, it is often seen that some hospitals refuse to admit the patient even in a critical condition and make different excuses. Due to this, the patient and the family have to face double trouble. If this happens to you, too, then you can complain about it. In such a situation, you can register your complaint by calling the national helpline number 14555 of Ayushman Bharat Yojana. There, you have to provide the details of the hospital and tell about your problem. After this, if your complaint is correct, then action is taken on it immediately.

Apart from this, you can also lodge a complaint on the online portal https://cgrms.pmjay.gov.in/GRMS/loginnew.htm. In this, the name of the hospital, date, and complete information about the incident has to be written. This process has been kept simple. So that patients do not face any problems.

Let us tell you that if the hospital refuses treatment despite you having an Ayushman card, then the state-level health agencies take such complaints seriously. Then they directly seek answers from the hospital management, and also take strict action.
