New Look just dropped the perfect Chanel-inspired ballet flats for under £20

When it comes to timeless style, a pair of Chanel’s quilted ballet flats are up there as one design that never goes out of style. Whilst the quilted version hasn’t been available to shop for some time except on resale sites, similar designs are still available at Chanel with a massive £1,270 price tag.

Whilst this means that they’re well beyond the budget of most of us, we spotted one of New Look’s latest launches that gets you that timeless Chanel-inspired look for considerably less. The Black Quilted Faux Leather Ballet Flats are priced at just £19.99, and have that same quiet luxury look as the designer ones without breaking the bank.

Of course, it goes without saying that Chanel’s luxury version is made from real lambskin leather, whilst the New Look pair keep the price down by being made from faux leather. However they’re finished in the same matte effect, with a soft and supple material that makes them look much more high end than their under £20 price tag.

The Black Quilted Faux Leather Ballet Flats feature a quilted design from toe to heel, with a dainty faux leather bow tied on the front which gives them that designer-inspired look. However they don’t have a smooth toe cap detail, which sets them apart from the Chanel pair.

They feature New Look’s comfort features, such as cushioned padding, softer linings and flexible soles which makes them comfortable enough to wear all day. They also couldn’t be easier to style, making a great choice for everything from casual lunch dates and running errands to wearing at the office.

The Black Quilted Faux Leather Ballet Flats are available in sizes UK3 to UK9, and currently only have one review from a shopper who said: “Comfy shoes however they are a little wide.” If you want a true wide fitting version, the SEQWL Wide Fit Slip On Ballerina Flats are available for £27 at ASOS in sizes UK3 to UK8, with an intentionally wide fitting design.
