Emily Atack has decided to scrap plans for a Disney+ reality show that would have documented her motherhood journey.
The Inbetweeners star, 35, welcomed her first child, Barney James Garner, with her long-term partner Alistair Garner in June 2024. Although she was initially planning to work on a fly-on-the-wall series chronicling her experiences as a parent, Emily ultimately chose to shelve the project.
An insider has claimed: "It’s not entirely clear why she didn’t pursue the show, particularly as it would have proved very lucrative to be working with the streaming giant.

"It would have almost certainly proved very popular with viewers too. But it’s fair to say she would have struggled time-wise to fit it in alongside all her other projects and, of course, her most important job of being a mother," they told The Sun.
It's certainly true that Emily has not slowed down professionally. The actress is returning for the second series of Disney+ hit drama Rivals and is also teaming up with Danny Dyer to co-host a new game show for ITV.
On top of these projects, Emily has been cast in a new Channel 5 thriller called The Rumour, which is being adapted into a TV series from the Sunday Times bestseller by Lesley Kara. She will be starring on the show alongside Joanne Whalley and Rachel Shenton.
Lead actress Rachel has spoken about her excitement for the series, saying: "The Rumour is a story of a woman unravelling as she relentlessly pursues the truth. She’s very relatable and the cast are amazing. It’s lovely to work with so many women."
Beyond her busy work schedule, the new mum has been soaking up precious time with her baby boy. Emily recently celebrated Barney’s first birthday and made an emotional post about the occasion on Instagram, sharing a series of snapshots from his first year.
She posted a picture of Barney sleeping on her chest shortly after he was born, sharing: "Happy 1st birthday to our son Barney James Garner. The Baby Barn Owl. I’ve dreamt of you my whole life. It was always you. I love you beyond words, our beautiful, BEAUTIFUL boy. You are so cherished my heart could burst."
Emily also shared photos from her pregnancy, snaps of her and Alistair opening baby gifts, and sweet pictures of the family cuddling Barney.
Last month Emily enjoyed a beach holiday with her family in Mevagissey, Cornwall, where she was seen carrying Barney in a sling while admiring the coastal views.
The star previously told The Times that she felt lonely before settling down with Alistair, adding: "I feel like my whole life had been building up to that moment, not just getting a part in that show, but also my personal life. It feels like the stars have aligned. That is genuinely how it feels."
