Billionaire industrialist Gautam Adani announced on Friday that the Adani family will now invest a large part of the sixty thousand crores already announced for skill development, education and health services to further improve the country's healthcare system.
While addressing surgeons in Mumbai, Gautam Adani said that today the problem of lower back pain has increased a lot in the country, due to which it is becoming a major cause of disability. He said that when people will not be able to stand due to pain, then how will this country be able to rise.
The hospital will be based on AI
While presenting his future plans, he said that Adani Group plans to start with Mumbai and Ahmedabad and build big state-of-the-art hospitals named Adani Healthcare Temples. This hospital will be based on AI and will have 1000 beds. For this, Adani Group has also partnered with the famous American Mayo Clinic.
The picture of the health sector will change
Gautam Adani said that his target is to invest $100 billion in the country in the next five years. He further said that these hospitals will not be limited to just treatment, but will have all the facilities from education and training to medical research. Along with this, he said that the aim of those hospitals will not be to compete with the existing hospital system but to work in those places where these facilities are not available.
He further said that his endeavour is to create such a health infrastructure in the country that is cheap and sustainable as well as ready to face the challenges of any kind of pandemic in the future. The chairman of Adani Group further said that he has entered this healthcare sector because there was not enough speed in this sector and this is not a change but a revolution.
