Former OYO senior executive Abhinav Sinha’s new GenAI-powered cloud infrastructure platform, Kluisz.ai, has emerged out of stealth mode and raised $9.6 Mn (INR 82.9 Cr) in its seed funding round led by RTP Global.
The round also saw participation from Unicorn India Ventures, Blume Founders Fund, Climber Capital and angel investors such as OYO’s Ritesh Agarwal, Ritesh Malik of Innov8 and Aditya Virwani of WeWork India.
The startup plans to utilise the funds to accelerate product development, expand its engineering and go-to-market teams and “support deployments with early customers”.
Founded earlier this year by Sinha, along with former AMD executive Vamshidhar Reddy and ex-Reliance Jio executive Abhijeet Singh, Kluisz.ai is building a comprehensive cloud platform that will enable its clients to deploy, scale and manage AI workloads and edge computing.
The startup claims that its open source platform, which is currently open only for “early access”, enables enterprises to automate and manage the cloud infrastructure based on their performance, cost and compliance goals. With deep observability and AI-native orchestration at its core, the platform can be deployed across multiple environments like hybrid, on-prem, edge, and sovereign clouds.
Initially, Kluisz.ai will focus on areas such as banking and financial services, manufacturing and other sectors with “extensive edge use cases”.
This comes six months after Sinha stepped down as the global chief operating officer (COO) and chief product officer (CPO) of OYO. At the time, the company said that Sinha was moving to an advisory role to launch his own startup.
A Wave Of Second-Time FoundersNotably, a growing number of founders and top executives of startups are flocking to launch their own ventures. Just yesterday, retail tech startup Perpule’s founder Abhinav Pathak’s new travel accessories-focussed startup Escape Plan raised $5 Mn in its seed funding round co-led by Jungle Ventures and Fireside Ventures.
Last month, Scapic cofounders-helmed AI-based ecommerce operating system (OS) platform ShopOS raised $20 Mn in its seed round from Binny Bansal’s investment vehicle 3STATE Ventures. In May, WhiteHat Jr’s founder Karan Bajaj bagged a seed funding of $16 Mn for his new cancer care venture Complement1 in a round led by Owl Ventures and Blume Ventures.
In April, Inc42 also reported that edtech startup Lido’s founder Sahil Sheth was building an AI-driven platform to automate healthcare operations.
Kluisz.ai’s fundraise also comes at a time when AI remains the flavour of the season. According to Inc42 data, homegrown AI startups have raised over $1.5 Bn between 2022 and Q1 2025, with the broader Indian GenAI market projected to become a $17 Bn opportunity by 2030.
