Anisha Tamhankar from Spinart cruised into the semifinals of the Girls U-19 3rd 4 Star Ranking Table Tennis Tournament-2025 at Willingdon Sports Club on Thursday. Anisha outclassed Shanaya Parikh (GCH) in straight sets 11-3, 11-4, 11-6 in the quarterfinal match on Thursday. Anoushka Patil joined Anisha in the semis with an easy 11-5, 11-6, 11-7 win over Kokare Maahi Kiran (PROT) in another girls quarterfinal match.
Vaidehi Thakare and Banhi Dube also reached the girls U-19 semifinals. Vaidehi (ROYL) defeated Ishana Babu (YMCA) 11-4, 11-7, 11-7. Banhi (BSTR) had to dig deep to oust Arpita Borhade (CTTA) in five sets. Banhi won the first set but lost touch in the next two sets to trail 1-2. However, she came back well to level 2-2 after a close set and the decider tested both the players with see-saw battle but Banhi kept her nerves to claim the match 11-3, 9-11, 8-11, 12-10, 18-16.
