When it comes to Bollywood rain songs, sarees have always been more than just costumes; they’ve been cultural statements, popularised on screen by legends. Now, carrying that legacy forward, Janhvi Kapoor has stepped into one of the most iconic rain-song looks, taking inspiration from none other than Rekha’s saree from the film ‘Judaai’. And trust Manish Malhotra to give it a fresh, contemporary spin for Param Sundari's second song, 'Bheegi Saree', which dropped on August 8.

Decoding Janhvi's 'Bheegi Saree' look
Janhvi’s appearance is all about blending nostalgia with new-age sensuality. She draped a pristine six-yard white saree adorned with intricate Badla embroidery, paired with a chikankari backless blouse that added drama. Her accessories were kept minimal yet powerful with a stack of timeless glass bangles and bold silver jhumkas.

Janhvi’s glam was equally on point with waterproof makeup featuring a dewy base, sharp winged eyeliner, sculpted cheeks, and nude lips, completed with a tiny black bindi. Her hair was left open, flowing naturally with the rain, making the entire look feel effortlessly cinematic.

Sidharth's sunshine contrast
While Janhvi channelled Rekha’s grace, Sidharth Malhotra provided the perfect visual balance in a bright yellow shirt. Paired with black wide-fit jeans and sneakers, his look was casual yet impactful.
As Manish explained, yellow simply pops on screen during rain sequences, giving Sidharth’s style a youthful vibrancy against Janhvi’s ethereal white.
