Sawan 2025: Every person has a debt to Lord Shiva. Every person has to repay this debt, if not today, then tomorrow. Without this, liberation or salvation is not possible. If you want to know what that debt is and how it can be repaid, then know in detail.

Many types of debts are mentioned in Hinduism. Information about 10 types of debts is available in Lal Kitab. These debts keep following us from birth to birth. However, three of these debts are considered special; by repaying them, a person gets rid of many sins and troubles. These three debts are: - 1. Dev Rin, 2. Rishi Rin and 3. Pitra Rin.
Which is the debt of Shiva?
Dev debt is of Vishnu, Rishi debt is of Shiva, and Pitra debt is of ancestors. Every human being must repay these three debts.
Not repaying the three debts will cause three types of troubles.
Not repaying the three debts will cause three types of troubles, i.e., worldly sorrows, Devi sorrows, and sorrows of karma. Not repaying the debts will cause the above-mentioned sorrows and due to this the person gets only one happiness in his life from father, wife or son or he remains deprived of all three.
Dev debt
Dev debt is repaid by keeping good character, doing Sandhya Vandan, giving donations and performing Yagya.
Pitra debt
Pitra debt is of many types. Three ways to repay this debt- follow the family tradition according to the religion of the country, perform tarpan and shraddha in Pitru Paksha and instill religious values in the children after producing them.
Rishi debt
This debt is the debt of Lord Shiva. This debt can be repaid by reading and understanding the Vedas, Upanishads and Gita and by explaining it to the family and society. If a person does not do this, then his life gets into great trouble or he does not get any kind of support after death.

Special ways to repay Shiva debt
To repay this debt, a person should recite Gita every month. One should keep going to satsang. One should adopt good conduct. The body, mind and house should be kept as clean as possible. One should apply a tilak of ghee, bhabhut or sandalwood on the head. Water should be offered to Peepal, Banyan and Tulsi. One should respect parents, wife and daughter.
