Mangala Gauri Vrat 2025: Mangala Gauri Vrat is observed on Tuesdays falling in the month of Sawan. This fast is especially important for newly married women. It is believed that girls who face obstacles in their marriage or have unrest in their marital life must observe this fast. This keeps the love between husband and wife intact, and the married life is happy.

On the day of Mangala Gauri Vrat, the fasting woman takes a bath in the morning and wears clean clothes. Then the place of worship in the house is purified with Gangajal or cow urine. A red or yellow cloth is spread on a wooden stand, and an idol or picture of Maa Gauri is placed on it. Turmeric, kumkum, akshat, flowers, coconut, sweets, fruits, wheat, betel leaf, betel nut, and sixteen makeup items like bangles, bindi, comb, sindoor, etc. are offered to the goddess. After this, a row of lamps made of wheat are decorated and the lamps are lit, which is a special part of this fast. Then the goddess is offered food and worshipped. After the puja, the story of Mangala Gauri Vrat should be heard or read. On this day, newly married women take blessings of their mother-in-law by offering her clothes, sweets, and makeup items. At the end of the puja, Aarti of the Goddess is performed and Prasad is distributed.
