Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday alleged large-scale electoral fraud in Haryana, claiming that one in eight voters in the state are fake.

According to Gandhi, around 25 lakh votes were manipulated, including 5.21 lakh duplicate voters, 93,174 invalid voters, and 19.26 lakh “bulk” voters.

Gandhi also highlighted a particularly bizarre instance in which the photograph of a Brazilian model was allegedly used for voting 22 times during the elections in Haryana.

Addressing the media, Gandhi said, “All exit polls pointed to a Congress victory in Haryana. What was surprising to us was that, for the first time in Haryana's electoral history, postal votes differed significantly from the actual voting. This had never happened before. When I first saw this information, I struggled to believe it and was in shock. I instructed my team to cross-check the data multiple times.”

He urged young people, particularly Gen Z, to take note, saying, “This is about your future. I am questioning the Election Commission and the democratic process in India, and I am doing so with 100% proof. We are convinced that a plan was put in motion to convert a Congress landslide into a loss.”

Gandhi also drew attention to the behaviour of Chief Minister Nayab Saini in the days following the election, stating, “Please notice the smile on his face and the 'vyavastha' that he is referring to. This was just two days after the election, when everybody was acknowledging that Congress was sweeping the polls.”
