The Association of National Law Universities (NLU) has released the schedule for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026. The exam will be conducted on 7 December 2025. According to the official notification issued by NLU, the registration process for CLAT 2026 UG and PG entrance exam will start from August 1 and will run till October 31. Candidates will be given a total of three months for registration. The notice issued on the website of the consortium states that the Executive Committee and Governing Body of the Association of National Law Universities, in its meeting held on 20 July 2025, decided that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 will be held on Sunday, 7 December 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm.

CLAT 2026 Exam: Who can appear in CLAT 2026 exam?
To appear in CLAT UG 2026 exam, it is mandatory for the general category students to pass 12th with 45 percent marks. At the same time, 40 percent marks have been fixed for the reserved category. At the same time, for CLAT PG 2026, the student must have an LLB degree with 45 percent marks. Last year, the application fee for general and OBC categories was fixed at Rs 4,000 and Rs 3500 for SC and ST.

CLAT 2025 exam was surrounded by controversies. More than five months after the exam was conducted after several court cases, the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for UG courses were revised and the revised result of CLAT UG 2025 was declared on May 17.
