Bihar teacher recruitment exam calendar released, know when STET and TRE-4 exams will be held

The Bihar government has announced to conduct STET before the fourth phase of teacher recruitment examination (TRE-4). Applications for STET will be from 8 to 16 September, and the exam will be held between 4 to 25 October.

Bihar assembly elections are near, and meanwhile the state government has made a big announcement related to the recruitment of teachers. The process of restoration of long-vacancies in government schools has now accelerated. STET (State Teacher Eligibility Test) will be conducted by Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) before the fourth phase of teacher recruitment examination i.e., TRE-4.

This announcement of the government has brought relief to thousands of candidates, as STET has been in demand for a long time. Now it is clear that without passing STET, candidates will not be able to join the recruitment of teachers from 9th to 12th.

When and how will the STET exam be held?

Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will conduct the STET exam this time. For this, online applications will be taken from 8th to 16th September. That is, the candidates will get only 9 days to apply.

After this, the examination will be conducted between 4th to 25th October. The special thing is that there will not be much delay in releasing the result as soon as the examination is over. The result will be declared in November.

After passing the STET exam, candidates will be able to appear in the fourth phase recruitment examination (TRE-4) of BPSC.

TRE-4 exam date - 16 December to 19 December 2024

Result release date - between 20 to 24 January 2025

Who can apply?

STET exam will be conducted for all subjects. That is, whether it is Science, Mathematics, Hindi, English or any other subject, candidates will have to give separate exams for all. This time the rule is clear - It is mandatory to pass STET to become a teacher from class 9th to 12th. Only those candidates who have qualified STET will be able to appear in TRE-4.
